Better Kids for Life"
All youth athletes are required to purchase recreation accident insurance for $7.65, which is good for all sports organized by the Town's Recreation Dept. from August 1 - July 31.
Fall Sports
Youth Football, Soccer, and Cheerleading.
Ages are 9-12 in Football,
5-15 in Soccer, and 9-12 in Cheerleading. We also have a Punt, Pass, & Kick competition in conjunction with the N.F.L. in September. All of our leagues are run under the guidelines of the South Carolina Athletic Programs branch. |
Winter Sports
Youth & Adult Basketball
Ages are 6-17 in Youth Basketball, with girls leagues offered if there are enough registered. Adult League is for individuals 18 & over with a $350.00 team fee. A regular season and tournament is included with all games at the Cheraw Community Center. |
Spring Sports
Youth Baseball & Softball
Ages are 3-14 for youth Baseball and Softball leagues, with play running from April through June. All-star teams are offered in most age groups, with all leagues playing under the Dixie Youth/Boys Baseball and Softball banners |
Summer Sports
| Various camps are offered and most are taught by the Cheraw High School coaches. There are two Baseball camps, a Golf camp, and a Soccer camp in June. We also offer tennis lessons during the summer and those are taught by Wayne Chapman. |
