Moving Here
We are pleased that you are
considering relocating to Cheraw.

Cheraw is a beautiful, historic town of about 6,000 people. We have been blessed with some wonderful new comers and retirees who have contributed a great deal to the life of the community.

Cheraw is a pre-Revolutionary town, with a 213 acre National Register Historic District and a wonderful state park. Farther out, new neighborhoods are being built to the west and south and small horse farms take advantage of the equestrian trails in the area. Cheraw likes company and welcomes newcomers with the South’s famed hospitality. Our citizens are active and involved in their community. The climate is pleasant with distinct seasonal changes and mild winters.

Cheraw is an easy drive from other beautiful places like the Atlantic coast, Pinehurst and the Carolina mountains or city life in Columbia and Charlotte. There are fifteen golf courses within thirty miles, two of them here in Cheraw. The county has over 96,000 acres of public land.

Cheraw is the largest town in Chesterfield County. Taxes and the cost of living here are in the lowest third in the nation. There are 15,608 people in a five mile radius. Call us if you have questions. We would love to talk with you!
