Water Service
The Town provides water service to customers throughout Cheraw and some located outside the town limits. The water is taken from the Great Pee Dee River and is processed at the town's 6 MGD plant facility. The Utility Department has 1.8 million gallons of water in elevated storage tanks.

Out-of-town customer rates are $16.00 for the first 2,000 gallons and $4.42 per 1,000 gallons for everything over the first 2,000.

In-town customers have a discounted rate of $6.00 for the first 2,000 gallons and only $1.65 per 1,000 gallons for everything over the first 2,000 gallons.

Industrial water rates are provided for large volume users of water with a sliding scale.
