Cheraw creates Emergency Interconnection with Chesterfield County Rural Water
It may not look like much driving by, but it creates an important link between the Town of Cheraw and Chesterfield County Rural Water. This is the Highway 9 Interconnection Booster Pump Station that will help ensure the Town of Cheraw could rely on Chesterfield County Rural Water to supply water in an emergency and vice versa.
This construction project is financed by the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. The DW SRF program is administered by the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control and the SC Rural Infrastructure Authority with joint funding by the US Environmental Protection Agency and the State of South Carolina. DW SRF programs operate around the country to provide states and communities with the resources necessary to maintain and improve the infrastructure that protects our valuable water resources.
