With over 96,000 acres of public land, we have some pretty amazing facilities for your next outdoor adventure. Whether it's golf at Cheraw State Park, hiking at Sand Hills State Forest, checking out the wildlife at Carolina Sandhills National Wildlife Refuge, or a relaxing time in one of our town's parks, we provide the backdrop for the perfect day. The Embers, featuring Craig Woolard, will be the featured band for the Town of Cheraw's Third Thursdays summer concert series on Thursday, August 21. This will be the final concert of four summer concerts, for ages 21 and up. Lounge chairs and coolers are welcomed. This popular summer entertainment series was created last summer as a means to promote Cheraw as a vibrant place to live, work, and visit, and it offers both locals and visitors a fun, relaxing evening. Third Thursdays events are held inside at the Cheraw Community Center, 200 Powe Street from 7:00-9:00 PM at a cost of $5 per person.
