The Embers To Perform For Third Thursdays

The Embers, featuring Craig Woolard, will be the featured band for the Town of Cheraw's Third Thursdays summer concert series on Thursday, August 21. This will be the final concert of four summer concerts, for ages 21 and up. Lounge chairs and coolers are welcomed. This popular summer entertainment series was created last summer as a means to promote Cheraw as a vibrant place to live, work, and visit, and it offers both locals and visitors a fun, relaxing evening. Third Thursdays events are held inside at the Cheraw Community Center, 200 Powe Street from 7:00-9:00 PM at a cost of $5 per person.

Parker Millsap In Concert September 19

On Friday, September 19, Parker Millsap, "Americana Music Association 2014 Emerging Artist of the Year" nominee will be in concert at the Theatre on the Green at 7:30 PM for his ONLY performance in the Palmetto State. Millsap has been featured on CMT's Concrete Country, and his hit song "Truck Stop Gospel" (visit is on the 'NPR Music 50 Favorite Songs of 2014' list. The Cheraw Arts Commission has worked hard to get Parker to Cheraw, so invite your friends, and let's give Parker and his band a warm welcome to Cheraw.
